Priyanka Chopra says she will marry in two years. Listen to what she says. “But yes, I will, of course, marry someone in the next two years. I have time on my hands as I’m still quite young.”

The first thought that comes to mind is “what’s the hurry?” Despite flops like Love Story 2050 and Drona, she is flying high. Her performance in Fashion was widely appreciated. That film has erased the impression of her being a mere pretty face. Her histrionic skills were awesome in Aitraaz too.

Priyanka is in a solid position today in Bollywood. She is one of the grade A actresses today along with Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Then why marry within two years and let it all go?

Everybody knows that marriage means curtains for an actress’ career in Bollywood. Indian viewers like their women virginal. Marriage and poof! She is a goner!

Perhaps Priyanka wants to call it quits and enter holy matrimony while the going is good, while she is still on top. But she could still go strong for atleast five years. She has worked hard to build her position in Bollywood. She has been acclaimed as an actress who can do any kind of role.

Then why quit all this and get married? It does not make sense, Priyanka. By declaring that you’ll marry within two years, you have made all prospective grooms sit up with interest. May be marrying early will get Priyanka a ‘good’ husband, but throwing away her position in Bollywood just for something that can easily happen even after five years makes little sense.
